It’s been a very tough six months, and none more so than the last two as the upheaval of moving takes its toll on one’s stress levels. But, we are now settling in to our new abode and searching for new premises to set up our third studio.
In the meantime, we have received very favourable comments from fans of our News features. Some people, like Roger, are developing their own niche of Nylon appreciation and we are going to showcase the work of people like this who adore women wearing nylons.
Here we can see a selection of his favourite shots…
Studio and home shoot based posing, and an interesting array of Nylons capture the essence of what he likes to capture.
In his own words…My passion for NYLON material began in my teens, and I remember going into department stores and seeing Mannequin’s clad in those original 100% Non -Stretch Nylon stockings in various colours, on the hosiery department. I always remember going in regularly to see if they had changed the colour……and they usually had.!
Now some 30 years later, I still love that material whether it be used in stockings or nylon underskirts.
I have now taken up female model photography, and shoot models on a regular basis wearing nylon stockings and underskirts, as this is my passion..If there are any models who would like to be photographed wearing them, maybe for their photo portfolio, please do contact me. I have dozens of pairs in my possession, In many different colours.
Roger’s portfolio can be found on PurplePort.com as ROGER PHOTOGRAPHY or he can be emailed direct email@example.com.
We Thank him very much for supplying fresh content to showcase, and wish him the very best in finding lovely ladies who are willing to pose in Retro Nylons…
You know sometimes you just want to shoot a model because they have a distinctive style, look, or persona. Tiina was one of those people…
An ad hoc shoot was arranged at short notice and we agreed to meet in the premises of our favourite purveyor of all things nylon.
In the rush to put everything together, I forgot to pack the radio triggers to fire of my lighting system.
The net result was to shoot or not to shoot…Well luckily I always carry a couple of speed lights, better known as flash guns, in my bag. I didn’t have any triggers so had to go with the flash on top of the camera, which is 99% percent of the time an absolute ‘No-No’. However, needs must.
Tiina made hr best efforts to quickly don the Rubber and Nylon combination that I had provided and made a sterling effort to run through elements of her posing routine.
At the time she appeared to be one of the hardest working and most regularly shot models on the local scene. Now having moved to America I still follow her activities on FaceBook etc where we are friends. (Yes, for the record, I am not a stalker).
All told despite the harsh shadows, not a bad coupe of hours shoot and some interesting shots developed along the way…
When a friend who is a profoundly excellent yoga teacher asked us to do some promotional shots for her we jumped at the chance…
Starting with a nice look for a typical day out with the girls we encouraged her to find her sassy style. She has a great love for Rock music and following the local music scene so we knew she had it within her to take a simple dress to a new level.
Of course it alway helps if one is fit and flexible to strike a number of poses easily, with a natural flow and elegance.
Through our pre shoot discussion we had found that she is an aspiring author an decided to flip her look to reflect how a successful woman might dress for a cocktail reception for her newest book deal.
She is such a vivacious person and it is so easy to make her chuckle, so we had to pause frequently to regain composure.
Without a doubt, she has all the right attributes to kill it everytime, her warmth and personality shining through.
In each set she is wearing simple barely black pantyhose to complement her outfits that give a nice elegant line. We provided the cocktail dress and accessories for the evening wear shoot and the first green two piece was the models own.
We revel in helping people achieve a look that reflects their personality and makes their image ‘pop’. Its so important these days in the realms of intense social media to have a look for the moment or a look for an emotion to keep your offerings fresh and engaging. Drop us a line if you would like to work with us on your own image and branding.
Its not everyday we are delighted by the presence of two ladies from our local Thai community to come and shoot some fashion styles with us…
We started with some traditional Thai garb, and then moved on to something a little more risqué…
It was great to see them enjoying themselves as they confessed to usually being very camera shy and body conscious
We think our relaxed style helped them get into the mood off being more playful and at ease and they just kept on smiling throughout.
It was great to see just how well shiny nylon was complemented by their skin colour really bringing out a great contrast and shine.
They did comment that often back home in Thailand the weather is too warm where they live to wear nylon so it is not that common, unless going out to a special function in the evening when it gets a little chilly.
They concluded that they felt very feminine throughout the shoot and we believe we have some new converts to nylon. All that remains to be said, Job well done! And it is worthy of note that this images are straight out of the camera without even a first pass edit in Lightroom, so you can see the level we achieve from the outset.
Do drop us a line if you would like something shoot for posterity? Or know a friend or family member who could benefit from our services?
Take a seasoned model who has done a number of conventional shoots…
A model who has asked to refresh her portfolio with something zesty, fun and funky…
Take her out of her normal comfort zone by introducing wigs that will completely transform her look, almost render her anonymous to her fanbase…
Explore new colour combinations and materials that go into uncharted territory and break out of the norm…
Explore poses that show of a fine slim figure and also get her moving and playing with shapes that she does not recognise as her own…
And, above all, have fun in following his through…
And Voile, you have the ingredients for a fabulously fun shoot that combined both stills and video to great effect.
Well let’s face it, that got you looking didn’t it?
Today’s post is a celebration of our local dockside heritage.
And also a hint that we can use many places as a fine backdrop to add interest and variety into the mix of how we compose our shots.
Bringing the pictures to life with a little HDR twist also brings out all the lines and textures and expresses just how much detail a digital camera is actually picking up.
The Sun is on its way, so we start to come alive and get out and be more creative.
We Love shooting outdoors and have a wealth of great places in our locality. We always have an assistant or two with us to ward of any unwanted attention, so you can assure you will be safe, but at the same time will need a little exhibitionist streak in you…so no wallflowers need apply!
We Trust you can see the humour in the title as this young lady had an uncanny knack of curling her top lip in an Elvis style…
The purpose of this shoot was to go for some fashion shots and classy boudoir to revamp the budding models portfolio.
As you can see she has a fabulous figure, tall and slender, and poses well
She took very well to the three styles we envisioned for her, and had a lot of fun during the fast paced shoot.
It also gave us the opportunity to try out some new retro foundation wear we had purchased with a modern twist. The grey shaping body worked like a dream at accentuating the best of her figure.
We recommend always guiding a model when putting on Fully Fashioned Nylons. Many young ladies will not have come across such delicate material, and we recommend they wear gloves when putting on the stockings, otherwise it is easy to get the inevitable snags and a pair of £20 nylons are ruined.
But then again some people like to see a run in a stocking, almost as much as they like to see the way old nylons wrinkle as they do not have lycra in them to provide some degree of stretch like modern yarns.
We enjoy helping models find a new look or style and revamp their portfolio. We provided all three outfits, stockings, pantyhose, props and styling for this shoot, and I find you’ll agree the results are rather splendid.
From time to time we like to invite friends over for a fun shoot. Have a look at this extended episode to see some shots from such a day.
The stockings in question are Cervin Fully Fashioned Nylons with a delightful Lurex seam down the back.
They look like RHT Nylons from the side,
And Black Foots from the bottom. But they pair up very nicely with a classic pair of Louboutin Office Court shoes.
Now add some rubber into the mix, worn by our good friend Helen Ryder.
Who knows how to strike a cheeky pose…
And also add her own brand of humour into the mix for what was to be a great ‘cheesecake’ photoshoot.
Most of our models have so much fun that they end up coming back for more and over time become good pals. Shoots are always a laugh, but the intent is on producing something that pops and stimulates the visual senses…and always with a dash of Nylon!
Today showcasing some of our favourite finds on the net we had to share this fabulously well shot rubber and nylon layers clip. We don’t mind promoting other creators when they are this good. Just look at the watermark to find more…
We are always looking for people to donate rubber outfits for our shoots, or alternatively we do shoot collections for businesses for a reasonable fee. Just send us an email if you would like to know more…
Its an interesting conundrum. You have an account on Vimeo for around 5 years with a bunch of videos on it that showcase some old photo-shoots as dynamic music slideshows. This account sits out there in the nether regions of hyperspace creating no stir or harm and probably gets ignored. Next we link it to our new website and within a couple of weeks the account is totally disabled with the comment that a moderator found our content too sexy, too explicit, and verging on pornographic! Not only that, they deleted our sister account that showcases general commercial work that you could show at a vicar’s Tea party. Well shame on you Vimeo for locking us out to not even have our say or any recourse. We will be launching our work on other platforms including this blog to avoid this kind of outrage in the future. We welcome your comments. Check out the clip above and let us know if you think it is too saucy!
