WE ARE BACK…

It’s been a very tough six months, and none more so than the last two as the upheaval of moving takes its toll on one’s stress levels. But, we are now settling in to our new abode and searching for new premises to set up our third studio.

In the meantime, we have received very favourable comments from fans of our News features. Some people, like Roger, are developing their own niche of Nylon appreciation and we are going to showcase the work of people like this who adore women wearing nylons.

In his own words…My passion for NYLON material began in my teens, and I remember going into department stores and seeing Mannequin’s clad in those original 100% Non -Stretch Nylon stockings in various colours, on the hosiery department. I always remember going in regularly to see if they had changed the colour……and they usually had.!
Now some 30 years later, I still love that material whether it be used in stockings or nylon underskirts.
I have now taken up female model photography, and shoot models on a regular basis wearing nylon stockings and underskirts, as this is my passion..If there are any models who would like to be photographed wearing them, maybe for their photo portfolio, please do contact me. I have dozens of pairs in my possession, In many different colours.

Roger’s portfolio can be found on PurplePort.com as ROGER PHOTOGRAPHY or he can be emailed direct rogerkeay1@gmail.com.

We Thank him very much for supplying fresh content to showcase, and wish him the very best in finding lovely ladies who are willing to pose in Retro Nylons…

EASTBOURNE PIER

Eastbourne Tour August 2009

Its a timeless experience walking on a pier in England, and nothing beats the splendour of Eastbourne. That is why we headed to the Town to shoot two retro inspired lovelies.

Admittedly, this shoot was conducted before a fire ravaged the pier and took away over a third of its unique Victorian/Edwardian structure. Under the ownership of Sheikh Abid Gulzar the structure is being refurbished  and is back in service.

One of the elements of English Seaside history has been the Cheeky Postcard! A¬†quintessentially English take on humour that often expressed our repressed sexuality emerging with a few ‘tongue in cheek’ laughs. Well, a pier is a perfect place to re-enact such capers as the wind whistles around the structure and haphazardly lifts a ladies skirt to reveal her stockinged attire…A delightful view that could set the pulse racing of any warm blooded male who was privileged to get such a transient glance.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LIGHT…

GothicPink1

The first thing one encounters when shooting nylon is a conundrum. Do we employ light that gives an overall balance to the composition?

GothicPink2

Here, we can see two pictures from an early Gothic inspired shoot that just use natural light on a dull day. The combination of Pink and Purple does add a splash of colour to a Wintery backdrop, but there could be more…

GothicPink3

However, as soon as we punch some additional light into the mix the nylon almost appears to take on a life of its own. Bold, and enticing this is the start of what inspires us to reveal the true nature and allure of nylon. The shine and shimmer bring something magical to the table for you to contemplate.

Over time we have continued to improve how we achieve this effect with all kinds of fancy studio lighting, but you cannot take away the immediate effect of hard light produced by a hand held flash. Just do all you can to avoid harsh shadows around the edge of the subject, as this is a true sign of an amateur. But, then again we all have to start somewhere, so we add that it is better to get out there and start experimenting than remain inert in contemplation…
